How to print Shopify barcode labels on a Rollo printer
A Rollo is a thermal label printer best known for 4 x 6 in shipping labels, and it prints product barcode labels just as well on a smaller roll. This page lists the roll sizes that fit, the driver settings, and how to get the labels for a Shopify transfer or purchase order. The same steps work for a Munbyn and most other thermal printers that print through a driver.

Roll sizes for product labels
These are the thermal roll sizes the app has. Any other size works too, entered as a custom size.
- Thermal roll 2 x 1 in (Rollo, Munbyn, Phomemo)
- Thermal roll 2-1/4 x 1 in
- Thermal roll 4 x 6 in (Zebra, Rollo, Munbyn)
- Round thermal roll 2 in
- Jewellery dumbbell tag 56 x 13 mm
- Thermal roll 4 x 2 in (carton label)
- Thermal roll 3 x 2 in (shelf edge)
- Round thermal roll 3 in
Printing so the barcodes scan
- After loading a roll of a different size, calibrate the printer so it learns the new label length (Rollo's setup guide shows how for your model).
- Give the driver the roll's size: on a Mac, choose Manage Custom Sizes under Paper Size in the print dialog and add the width and height; on Windows, set the paper size in the printer's preferences.
- Download the labels as a PDF and print it at 100% or "Actual size", never "Fit to page".
- Print one label and scan it, then print the rest.
Labels for a whole Shopify transfer or purchase order
Shopify admin has no button that prints the labels for what arrived. AK: PO & Barcode Label Printer, the app I make, reads a transfer or a purchase order, takes each product's quantity from it, and makes the labels as one PDF for the thermal roll you choose. It only reads your store, so it cannot change your products.
The guide to printing barcode labels in Shopify walks through purchase orders and transfers step by step, and the app is on the Shopify App Store.
